The New Orleans Saints made a few roster moves on Tuesday, releasing safety Kenny
Phillips and receiver Joseph Morgan, while signing punter Brandon Fields and offensive tackle Tony Hills.

Phillips, a former first round draft pick by the New York Giants back in 2008, didn't make the initial 53-man roster when the Saints opened the season but was brought back in week 2. The 28-year old started three games, accumulating 8 tackles.

Morgan, an undrafted free agent by the Saints in 2011, has dealt with numerous issues while during his time with the organization, including a suspension and an injury. The 27-year old has totaled 14 catches for 471 yards and 3 touchdowns in 14 career games.

Fields has been signed as an injury replacement for Thomas Morstead, who suffered a quad injury in Sunday night's win over the Dallas Cowboys. The 31-year old, who was named to the Pro Bowl in 2013, was released by the Miami Dolphins prior to the season, after spending 8 years with them, averaging 46.8 yards-per-punt during that time span.

Hills, a former fourth-round draft choice by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2008, was signed off the practice squad of the Baltimore Ravens. The 30-year old has played in 13 games, while playing for four different organizations, over his career.

The Saints, who are currently 1-3 on the season, return to action this Sunday, when they travel to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles.
