Hosts

Billy Ryckman

Billy Ryckman is one of only a handful of football players to be born and raised in Lafayette that got the chance to play in the NFL. He was certainly one of the first to do so. Billy played high school ball for the Lafayette High Mighty Lions as a small but slow WR. After high school, he attended Louisiana Tech and then went on to the NFL. Billy was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons where he played for in the late '70s tills the early '80s. After football, Billy moved back to Lafayette to raise two kids

Jay Walker

I'm a native New Englander, but I've lived in South Louisiana all my adult life. I don't know if that makes me THE authority on sports in Acadiana, but I've certainly seen my share. I've hosted the show "Bird's Eye View" on ESPN1420 since 1998 from 3-4 pm and your phone calls and opinions are always welcome. I also co-host "The Sports Gap" with Scott Prather, daily from 4-5pm. Doing a daily radio show and traveling nearly 50 nights a year with the Cajuns doesn't leave a ton of spare time, but when I get a chance, you'll find me either in the kitchen or grilling on the back patio

Scott Prather

I’ve been with ESPN1420 since 2005. In addition to hosting the Great S.C.O.T.T. show every weekday from 5-6 and the Sports Gap from 4-5, I serve as the brand manager and program director. While sports is my passion, I always remember why I got into this business. Sports is fun. Sometimes serious, sometimes lighthearted, but if you’re not having fun working in sports, you’re doing something wrong. I have on many guests, from professional athletes such as Thomas Morstead, Roman Harper, Charles Tillman and Anthony Davis, to many Saints and Pelicans correspondents, as well as local sports radio personalities and journalists

Ian Auzenne

Hey, all!  I'm Ian Auzenne, the weekend guy.  I'm a graduate of Beau Chêne High School and Princeton University.  In addition to playing Acadiana's best country, I also work in local TV, dabble in sports broadcasting, officiate high school and recreational volleyball and softball.  When I'm not working, I (attempt to) play tennis and bowl.  I enjoy all types of music and love discovering new sounds.  It's a pleasure having you with me every weekend, and I hope you keep tuning in

Ryan Baniewicz

I am a proud graduate of the Manship School of Broadcasting at LSU and Tiger TV alum, but I will openly admit I spent more time at Cajun Field and in the Cajundome than I did in Death Valley or the PMAC during my undergrad. During my time at LSU I was beat reporter for Tiger Baseball, covered every sport imaginable, shadowed a former NFL player for 24 hours, and covered the Chik-Fil-A Bowl. I host "The Cheap Seats" (weeknights, 6-7 pm), produce Ragin' Cajuns sports, run the Twitter, and I've even done play-by-play for UL Softball and postseason basketball

Steve Peloquin

I am a lifelong resident of the Acadiana area, attending Northside High School and the University of Louisiana (formerly the USL), before beginning my career in the radio industry back in 1990. I've hosted the popular morning show, "Thinking Out Loud", for 18 years. As part of the Louisiana Ragin' Cajun Radio Network, I do sideline coverage duties for UL football, along with part-time play-by-play duties for UL men's basketball and baseball

Hey y'all! I'm Cody Junot and I am proud to be part of the ESPN 1420 team which I joined in January of 2016. In August of 2017, I teamed up Steve Peloquin and together we host The Starting Lineup, Acadiana's home for morning sports. I'm also part of the Ragin' Cajun Radio Network, serving as the sideline reporter for Louisiana football. In addition to working at ESPN 1420, I am also the Associate Managing Editor of CollegeAD.com, a site dedicated to delivering the news and information in college sports business

Greg Larnerd

I'm a recent Louisiana transplant from CT/NYC and have just started up with ESPN1420 in August. I'm not only the host of The Word With G Show which you can hear every weeknight from 6-7pm, but I'm also the Host/Brand Manager for our Friday night High School Football Show, The Acadiana Postgame (6-midnight). Sports has always been a passion-full purpose for me, something I grew up playing and culminated into college baseball. I'm really looking forward to entrenching myself into the southern sports culture of south Louisiana and most of all hearing from you, the fans, all about high school, college, and professional teams that you really care about
