Veteran offensive lineman Tony Hills is back in a New Orleans Saints uniform, while undrafted rookie Ryker Matthews is on the waiver wire. GM Mickey Loomis announced the moves today.

Hills is an 8 year veteran who joined the Saints last season in week 5 following a string of injuries on the New Orleans offensive line.

In a week 5 win over the Atlanta Falcons, he was thrust into action early in contest after Andrus Peat was injured, playing heavy minutes after only being with the team for a few days.

He went on to play in a career-high (single season) 8 games in 2015.

The 31 year-old Houston native is 6'6, 304 lbs. He's had previous stints on the regular season rosters of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Denver Broncos, Indianapolis Colts and Dallas Cowboys.

Matthews was signed as an undrafted free agent out of BYU. Injuries and performance prevented him from making a strong enough of an impression to warrant the Saints waiting out his injury status to showcase whether he could crack the roster.
