New Orleans Hornets head coach Monty Williams has overcome more adversity that most of us could ever dream of.

Consider the adversity of his job. After all, he coaches a team owned by the league. A team with 9 new players. A team that lost it's 2 franchise players in the offseason.

However, when you hear about Williams' life, you realize basketball adversity is at best, trivial. Considering Williams was sexually abused as a child, diagnosed with a fatal disease in college, and once contemplated suicide, Monty's faith has helped him overcome more adversity than we could ever dream of.
