For the fifth-consecutive week, the Mississippi St. Bulldogs are the top team in the latest Associated Press top 25 college football poll, which was released on Sunday.

The Bulldogs, who defeated Tennessee-Martin, 45-16, to improve to 9-0 last Saturday, received 48 of a possible 60 first-place votes.

Florida State, who defeated Virginia on Saturday, 44-20, to also improve to 9-0, received the remaining 12 first-place votes. The Seminoles stay at number two for the fifth-straight week.

Oregon, who defeated Oregon on Saturday, 51-27, moved up one spot to number three this week, while Alabama, who squeaked past LSU, 20-13, in overtime, moved up one spot, to number four.

TCU, who improved to 8-1 by defeating Kansas St., 41-20, also moved up one spot, and is now fifth.

Baylor, Arizona St., Ohio St., Auburn, and Ole Miss round out the top ten, at 6-10, respectively.

11-15 consists of Nebraska, Michigan St., Kansas St., UCLA, and Notre Dame, with Georgia, Arizona, Clemson, Duke, and LSU in the 16-20 spots.

Finally, at 21-25 this week, it’s Marshall, Wisconsin, Colorado St., Georgia Tech, and Utah.

Colorado St. and Georgia Tech are the newcomers to this week’s poll, while Oklahoma and West Virginia dropped out.
