The third ranked LSU Tigers (3-0) baseball team finished up opening weekend with a dominant 14-3 victory over the Maryland Terrapins (0-3).

For the second straight day, the 7th inning was kind to the Tigers bats as LSU put up 8 runs, turning a 6-3 lead into a 14-3 blowout.

Six LSU arms combined for 9 innings of impressive work. Brent Bonvillain got the start, allowing 4 hits and 2 runs (1 ER) in 4 innings of work. Next up, Nate Fury (1-0) was the first of five Tiger relievers to seal the deal, but Fury was able to nab the win.

JaCoby Jones (3 runs, 2 RBI) and Ty Ross each hit a homerun, while Alex Bregman finished with 3 hits and 3 runs scored.

LSU remains home Tuesday night when they welcome the Lamar Cardinals to Alex Box Stadium.
