Louisiana goes on the road for the first time in the Bob Marlin era tomorrow night when they face the Creighton Bluejays at the Qwest Center (17,260) in Omaha, Nebraska.

The Bluejays are 2-0 on the season after defeating Alabama State (71-57) and Northern Arizona (74-70).  Louisiana comes into the game at 1-1 after their 91-66 win over Louisiana College on Monday night.

The Bluejays return four starters from a team that finished 18-16 a year ago.  The Jays are picked fourth in the Missouri Valley Conference this year.  They are led by preseason MVC Player of the Year Kenny Lawson.  Lawson has led the MVC in blocked shots the last two years.

Like the Cajuns, the Bluejays have a new coach this year.  Greg McDermott spent the last four years as head coach at Iowa State and has also served as head coach at Northern Iowa, North Dakota State and Wayne State.

The Cajuns lead the all time series 2-1, although the teams have not met since back in 1977.  The first meeting was way back in 1967 with winning in then-USL winning in Omaha.  The two teams met twice in the 1976-77 season, with each team winning at home.

Creighton was 15th in nation in attendance last year, averaging 14,495 per game.  They've already topped the 15,000 mark in each of their two home games this season.

Tip time is 7:05 Wednesday night.  Airtime on ESPN1420 and Hot 107.9 is at 6:35.
