Latest Info on New Orleans Bowl Festivities

There's only 18 days till Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns take on the East Carolina Pirates in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. A lot of you have already reserved your tickets and your hotel room, now you need to know what festivities are going on leading up to the big game.

Here are the scheduled events that have been announced thus far:

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 20

At 9pm, The Pride of Acadiana Marching Band will then lead fans from the Marriott Hotel along Bourbon Street in Second Line fashion. All Ragin' Cajuns fans are invited back to show New Orleans we are ready to Paint the Quarter Red.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 21

New Orleans Fan Fest, sponsored by Home Bank, will be held at the Marriott Hotel on Canal St. from 3pm-5pm. Admission is free and open to all Ragin' Cajuns fans. Party will feature live music and beverages.

The Beach Boys will headline the Friday Night Concert at Champions Square near the Superdome from 5:30pm-8:30pm. Bad Company with singer Brian Howe will open the show. This is a free concert for all fans.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 22

Downtown New Orleans Rouses (Baronne St. near Superdome) will be again be hosting a Tailgate Party! Festivities begin at 8am with great food and drinks. Acadiana's own Sammy Kershaw will be rocking the stage!
