Five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Wes Welker has signed a two-year deal with the Denver Broncos, ending his six year stint with the New England Patriots.

Terms of the deal call for Welker to make $12 million, according to Adam Schefter.

A fan favorite in New England, Welker caught 672 receptions in six seasons with team, averaging 112 a year. He's the only player in NFL history to have five straight seasons of 110+ catches.

John Elway, Broncos executive vice president of football operations, tweeted his enthusiasm over the deal.

"Agreed to terms on a 2-yr deal with Wes Welker. Excited to have Wes join the Broncos. His production & toughness will be a great asset!"

Welker should fit nicely into the slot for Peyton Manning.
