Keke Veal scored a career high 30 points Wednesday night to lead the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns over Little Rock 65-58, snapping the Trojans 24-game conference home winning streak.

Veal, the reigning Louisiana Sports Writers' Association Player of the Week, hit six three point baskets in helping the Cajuns snap a five game losing streak at the hands of the Trojans.

"She (Veal) really looked confident tonight.  It really looks like her injury is clearing up," Louisiana coach Garry Brodhead said.  Veal had been bothered by a groin injury and did not start the game.

Veal was joined in double figures by Jaylynn Gordon with 15 points.  Kia Wildridge added 12.  Alexius Dawn led Little Rock with 25 points, while Shanity James added 15 points and Keanna Keys tallied ten.

The Cajuns led by five points at halftime and led by as many as nine points in the second half.  Little Rock cut the lead to one point, but the Cajuns hit some clutch shots and made 14-17 from the free throw line to keep the Trojans at bay.

"We didn't let their runs make us nervous," Broadhead sai"We were able to keep our composure.".

Louisiana (10-2, 3-0 Sun Belt) was next to last in the league in three point field goals per game, but on this night Louisiana made 9-18 from beyond the arc, while Little Rock (3-9, 1-2) was just 2-10 from the bonusphere and made just 16-26 free throws.

The Cajuns turned the ball over just nine times in the game, compared to 13 for the Trojans.  The two teams battled to a 31-31 tie in the rebounding department.

The Cajuns will take on Arkansas State Saturday afternoon at the Convocation Center in Jonesboro with tipoff scheduled for 3:05pm.  Arkansas State defeated UL Monroe 66-43 to remain unbeaten in conference play.
