Kolton Browning

The ULM Warhawks will have to play the rest of the 2013 college football season without the services of quarterback Kolton Browning, who has a torn quad muscle.

Browning, who has struggled with a quad injury since the beginning of the season, left during ULM's 31-14 loss to Tulane last Saturday and never returned.

The fifth-year senior from Mabank, Texas had thrown for 967 yards and seven touchdowns this year.

Browning, the 2012 Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Year, has 9,052 passing yards and 67 touchdown passes in his career.

The Warhawks, who are 2-3 on the season, will now turn to sophomore Brayle Brown, who will get his first collegiate start Thursday when the Warhawks open Sun Belt play against the WKU Hilltoppers.
