UL Women’s Basketball Falls To Troy, 58-52-Game Recap
Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team fell on the road in Sun Belt Conference action on Saturday, dropping a 58-52 decision to the Troy Trojans, in Troy, Alabama.
For Louisiana, it was their 13th consecutive loss, while Troy snapped a 12-game losing streak with the victory.
The Trojans led it 31-29 at the half, and then held on for the six-point win.
Troy was able to out-shoot UL from the field, 40%-36%, and were also able to out-rebound the Cajuns, 42-30.
Leading the way for the Trojans was Sarah McAppion, who scored 17 points, while Krystal Motley paced the Cajuns in a losing cause, with a game-high 19 points.
With the victory, Troy improved 2-20 overall, and 1-10 in Sun Belt Conference play, while the UL women dropped to 5-18 overall, and 0-11 in league play.
