Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team recorded a non-conference win on Saturday afternoon, rolling past the Dillard Bleu Devils, 84-36, at the Cajundome.

The victory also kept Louisiana perfect at home this season, moving them to 3-0.

Louisiana was in control from start-to-finish, holding Dillard without a field goal for the first 9:27 of the game, and led after the end of the first quarter, 24-3.

The Cajuns went on to outscore the Bleu Devils, 26-13, in the second quarter, and took a 50-16 advantage into the locker room at halftime.

Louisiana outshot Dillard in the first half, 75%/22%, hitting 21-of-28 shots, while also holding down a 19-17 rebound advantage.

It was more of the same in the second half, as the Cajuns led after three quarters, 68-23, before going on to the 48-point win, their biggest of the season, in terms of margin of victory.

The Cajuns ended the game outshooting the Bleu Devils from the field, 59%/23%, while also finishing with a 41/28 rebound advantage.

Kia Wilridge led the way for Louisiana, finishing 18 points and 9 rebounds, both game-highs.

Three more UL players put up double-digit points, including Jaylyn Gordon (12), Keke Veal (11), and Gabby Alexander (11).

In a losing cause for Dillard, Alena Evans finished with 13 points and six rebounds.

With the victory, the Cajuns improved to 6-1 on the season, while the Bleu Devils are 5-6.

Louisiana returns to action on Tuesday, at 11 am, when they host UC Santa Barbara.
