Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun women's basketball team won their second exhibition game on Thursday night, defeating the Xavier (La.) Gold Nuggets, 77-69, at the Cajundome.

The win gives Louisiana two wins in two tries in exhibition play, after defeating LSU-Alexandria, 95-48, on Monday night.

The Cajuns held a double-digit advantage for over 9 minutes of the fourth quarter, with their lead reaching as much as many as 17 points, before eventually coming away with the 8-point win.

The Cajuns outshot the Gold Nuggets, 46%-42%, while both teams finished with the same of rebounds, with 31.

Louisiana, who made 3-of-10 attempts from beyond the three-point arc, also knocked down 26-of-31 shots from the free-throw line.

Jaylyn Gordon led the way for the Cajuns, finishing with a game-high 27 points and a team-high 4 assists.

Three other UL players put in double-digit points, as Kia Wilridge added 17, to go along with a game-high 9 rebounds, while Veal and Jordan Alexander chipped in with 10 points apiece.

The Cajuns open their 2015-2016 regular season this Sunday, November 15, when they travel to Oxford, Mississippi to take on the Ole Miss Rebels.
