Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun softball team will travel to Tempe, Arizona to take on the Arizona St. Sun Devils, in NCAA softball Super Regional action later this week.

Louisiana, the #14 national seed, won the Lafayette, La. regional, defeating Mississippi Valley St. once, and Stanford twice.

For the Cajuns. it will be their third Super Regional appearance in the last five years.

Arizona St., the #3 national seed, got a scare in the Tempe, Arizona Regional, falling in the first game of Championship Sunday, 1-0, to the Syracuse Orange, before winning the "if necessary game", 4-0.

UL defeated ASU, 9-2, in the Judi Garman Classic, back on March 15 in Fullerton California.

The Cajuns are paced by outfielder Christi Orgeron, who is hitting a .376, with 22 homers, and 93 RBI's, along with shortstop Nerissa Myers, who has scored 80 runs, and driven home 79, while the Sun Devils are led by shortstop Katelyn Boyd, who is hitting a .447, with 19 homers, 61 RBI's, and 21 stolen bases.

Louisiana is currently 52-4 overall this year, while Arizona St., the defending national champions, stand at 49-8.
