UL Softball Hosts Sun Belt Conference Championships

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun softball team opens up play in the Sun Belt Conference Championships, on Wednesday, when they take on the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, in an opening round match-up. For the 11^th time in the 12-year history of Sun Belt Conference Softball, Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns enter the Sun Belt Championships as the No.1 seed.  Of 10 previous tournaments in which the Cajuns were the No.1 seed, the Cajuns won all 10.

The Cajuns begin their run at an 11^th tournament title on Wednesday night at 5:30 p.m. at Lamson Park when they take on the No.8 seed, Middle Tennessee.  The Cajuns (45-9) and Blue Raiders (18-31) will meet in the second round for the second consecutive year, with UL taking last season's match-up, 3-1.
