Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun softball team is up, one spot, to number six, in this week’s college softball RPI (Rating Performance Index) rankings, released by the NCAA on Monday.

Louisiana, who has won and 25 of their last 27 games, and leads the Sun Belt Conference by four games in loss column, currently stands at 33-7-1 on the season, and will return to action on Tuesday, when they take on the Baylor Bears in a non-conference doubleheader in Waco, Texas.

Three schools from the SEC, including Florida, Alabama, and Georgia are ranked 1-3, with UCLA and Oregon rounding out the top five.

Louisiana is number six, followed by Michigan at number seven, with Florida St., Arizona, and Arizona St. coming in at 8-10, respectively.

Missouri begins the second ten, with Tennessee, Baylor, Nebraska, and Oklahoma in spots 12-15.

At 16-20, it’s Kentucky, Minnesota, Texas A&M, South Florida, and Auburn.

Washington, LSU, Tulsa, James Madison, and USC Upstate round out the top 25 of this week’s RPI rankings.

The respective RPI’s for the eight Sun Belt Conference schools has Louisiana (6th overall) first, with South Alabama (19th overall) second, followed  by Georgia St. (64th overall), WKU (69th overall), Texas St. (90th overall), Troy (100th overall), UT-Arlington (118th overall), and ULM (151st overall).
