Clutch two-out hitting by Jordan Poirrier and a shutdown relief performance by freshman Matt Hicks lifted Louisiana to a 4-2 victory in the series finale with Southeast Missouri on Sunday afternoon at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field.

Poirrier ripped a two-out double to left center field in the seventh inning to score Greg Fontenot, who led off the inning with a his third hit of the game, to break a 2-all tie. Mike Petello followed with a single to shallow center field to plate Poirrier with an insurance run for the Cajuns (1-2).
