UL Baseball Takes On Wichita St. In Season Opener – Preview

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun baseball team opens up their 2012 regular season schedule on Friday evening, when coach Tony Robichaux's squad take on the Wichita St. Shockers, in the opening day of play in the Texas St. Bobcat Classic in San Marcos, Texas.

Louisiana will also take on San Clara on Saturday at 6 o'clock, and the host school, Texas St., on Sunday at 3 o'clock.

UL finished 31-27, overall, a season ago, and 18-12 in Sun Belt Conference play.

Senior right-hander Joe Zimmerman gets the start on Friday, with senior right-hander Jordan Nicholson going to the bump on Saturday, and junior left-hander Chris Griffitt getting the nod on Sunday.
