The 2014 schedule for Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun baseball team was released on Wednesday.

Coach Tony Robichaux's squad will open up their season at home on Feb. 14-16 with a four-game series against the Eastern Illinois Panthers at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field.

The Cajuns will hit the road for the first time, on Wednesday, February 19, when they travel to Natchitoches, to take on Northwestern St., before heading to Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to square off with the Southern Miss Golden Eagles for a three-game series, Feb. 21-23.

Two nights later, Louisiana wraps-up a five-game road trip, when they visit the LSU Tigers, at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge, before hosting the Alabama Crimson Tide in a three-game, weekend series, February 28-March 2.

Also on the schedule is the Tulane Green Wave, who the Cajuns will face twice next year. The first meeting takes place on March 11 in New Orleans in the last non-conference test for UL, before Tulane makes the trip up I-10 to Moore Field on April 1.

The Cajuns open Sun Belt play on March 14-16 in Monroe against in-state foe ULM. Louisiana also heads to Troy (April 4-6), UT Arlington (April 18-20), Arkansas State (May 2-4) and South Alabama (May 9-11) in conference play.

The conference home opener is slated for March 21-23 against newcomer Georgia State. That will be the first of five conference series at Moore Field, which also features Western Kentucky (March 28-30), UALR (April 11-13), Texas State (April 25-27) and ULM (May 15-17).

Overall the Cajuns are scheduled to have 32 games at Moore Field in 2014. Louisiana will also play 19 games against in-state opponents.

In 2012, the Cajuns went 43-20, including a 28-8 home record, and appeared in an NCAA Regional.
