Big ups to Ragin' Cajun Baseball players Stefan Trosclair and Dylan Moore, who were selected to Perfect Game's Preseason All-American teams.

Both players were superb for Tony Robichaux last season, and the rest of the country is recognizing the excellence brewing down in South Louisiana. Robe knows baseball, and his players soak it up like a sponge.

Trosclair held it down at the plate last season, hitting .338 (2nd on team) and leading the Cajuns in home runs (16), total bases (139) and RBI's (53). It was enough to earn him third-team All-American honors. On top of that, he stole 15 bases (2nd on team) and added a serious spark in the meaty part of the lineup. He will look to clean up his eight errors in the field from last season, but his bat is already at an All-American level.

Dylan Moore was a stud as a freshman, earning L:ouisville Slugger Freshman All-American status for his 1.60 ERA and 13 saves. His funky release crosses batters up in the box, and it led to 40 K's in only 50.2 innings of work in his first year of college baseball. Moore earned third-team All-American status from Perfect Game, just like Trosclair, so the Cajuns were represented well on the mound and at the plate.

This will be Trosclair's last year as a Cajun, but Moore still has some time left as a sophomore. Can they build on their numbers from last year and take the Ragin' Cajuns a step farther?

Coach Robichaux is never one for back-patting and early accolades, but at least his team is getting the respect they deserve.
