Last night the Cajundome opened it's doors to the public to see the renovations, which are mostly complete, inside the arena. One of the most noticeable changes in the dome is the basketball court that the Ragin Cajuns will now play on.

The court's design features a model of UL's Cypress Lake, which is a staple on the campus of UL. Many have questioned what's wrong with the court, but after a close look you can see the design.

With the use of some rather large stencils, the artists were able to shade the court so that it resembles the lake.

The court was constructed in Chattanooga, Tn. and delivered to the Cajundome here in Lafayette.

The first game on this new court will be Thursday night, December 1st, when the Cajuns play a double-header.

So there it is, this is how they built the court you'll see all year in the newly renovated Cajundome.
