Thomas Bjorn Excels At The Scene Of One Of His Biggest Disappointments

Eight years ago, Thomas Bjorn had a two-stroke lead, with three holes to play, but failed to win the Open Championship, as Ben Curtis came from behind to captured the Claret Jug.

That event was held at Royal St. George’s, where the 2011 tournament is also taking place.

Robert Lusetich, of Fox Sports, reports that on Thursday, Bjorn returned triumphantly to the course, firing an opening round 65 (-5), to grab a share of the lead in the 2011 Open Championship.
