Eight of the eleven teams in the league are playing this week, including a Sun Belt Conference game out west.  Here's what's on the agenda for the Sun Belt teams this weekend.

APPALACHIAN STATE (1-1) (-8) AT OLD DOMINION--2:30, American Sports Network- The Mountaineers had last weekend off after losing at Clemson and they've got a chance to get an out of conference win against a CUSA school.

ULM (1-1) (+38) AT ALABAMA (2-1)--3pm, SEC Network--Nick Saban probably remembers those billboards on I-20 while heading to the Independence Bowl in his first season at Alabama.  You remember those billboards...after ULM beat them that season.  In fact, he probably has pictures.  And, the Tide lost last week.

ARKANSAS STATE (1-2) (+7.5) at TOLEDO (3-0) 6pm, ESPN3--After missing last game because of an injury, QB Fredi Knighten is listed as probable.  The Red Wolves will need them if they're going to get the upset against the Rockets, who have already beaten Arkansas and Iowa State.

AKRON (1-2) AT LOUISIANA (1-1) (-8.5)  6PM ESPN 3--Akron, despite losses to Oklahoma and Pittsburgh, hasn't been easy to run on.  The question mark for the Zips is their offense as they still try to settle on a quarterback.

NORTH CAROLINA STATE (3-0) AT SOUTH ALABAMA (2-1) (+17) 7pm, ESPNEWS--A nice win for the Jags last weekend at San Diego State and they're about the same point spread underdogs this week.  This will be the toughest opponent the Wolfpack has played.  Can the Jags do it again, this time in Mobile?

TEXAS STATE (1-2) (+16.5) AT HOUSTON (2-0)--7pm ESPN3--The Bobcats defense has been atrocious this season.  Houston had the week off last week.  Dennis Franchione's team has moved the football.  But they've got to learn to stop someone.  So far they've had trouble even slowing anyone down.

GEORGIA SOUTHERN (2-1) AT IDAHO (1-2)--8PM  ESPN3--The only league game this week.  Idaho won their first game of the season last week, but the flyers urging the firing of Paul Petrino are circulating in Moscow.  Check out the start time.  That's 6pm Pacific.  The Eagles ought to get home around 8am Sunday morning.

Troy, Georgia State and New Mexico State all have the night off.
