Syracuse remained #1 in the poll, getting 30 of 31 first place votes. Ohio State, ranked #2, got the other.
There are four teams from the Big East in the top ten of the poll. Louisville is ranked #4, just behind Kentucky. Connecticut and Marquette are 9th and 10th,

September 17, 2011 Is the Atlantic Coast Conference soon going to be the next conference to expand to what is being call a "super conference"?
Is the ACC checking out potential members, as a proactive step, in case they lose some of their current members?
Whatever the case, a high ranking ACC official told ESPN.com that Syracuse and Pittsburgh, currently with the Big East Conference, have applied for membership into the ACC.
