Despite being in a nasty labor dispute, the NBA released the 2011-2012 regular season schedule yesterday. If a season is played, the Hornets will only appear on national television twice. That's pretty insulting considering New Orleans was a playoff team a year ago, and still possess one of the league's biggest superstars in Chris Paul. The Atlanta Hawks had less wins than the Hornets a year ago, but are scheduled for 8 national TV appearances. Oh well, there probably won't be a season anyway.

David West's announcement Monday that he would opt out of his contract and become a free agent was a tough pill for Hornet fans to swallow. New Orleans Hornets power forward David West told reporters today he is still undecided as to whether he will opt out of the final year of his contract. If West exercises his player option, he would have one year remaining on his contract worth $7.5 million. He must decide by June 30th.
