Brees, Graham, And Harper Among Top Fan Pro Bowl Vote

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, tight end Jimmy Graham, and strong safety Roman Harper are receiving tons of fan votes for the NFL Pro Bowl. Brees is second among quarterbacks (behind Aaron Rodgers), and seventh among all players. Graham is first in tight end voting, with Harper garnering the most votes among strong safeties.

Saints Sink Falcons In Overtime

The New Orleans Saints will go into the bye week at 7-3, sitting atop the NFC South after their overtime victory on the road against their arch rivals, the Atlanta Falcons. Saints kicker John Kasay nailed a 26 yard FG in sudden death. A short field was set-up for the offense after Atlanta elected to go for in on 4th and inches and werer stuffed by the New Orleans defense.

Grading The Saints-Week 9

The New Orleans Saints got back on the win track on Sunday, defeating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 27-16, in an NFC South contest, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, in New Orleans.

The Saints obviously fared much better than the week prior, when the fell to the previously unbeaten St. Louis Rams, 31-21.

Against the Bucs, the Saints' offense rolled, for 458 total yards, including 195 rushing yards, while the defense held Tampa Bay to only 84 rushing yards.

Special teams was fine, as John Kasay hit two field goals, and punter Thomas Morestead was great, as he usually is.

You have to give the Saints passing grades all-around this week.

New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton underwent successful surgery this morning to repair his left tibial plateau fracture and lateral meniscal tear. Payton broke his knee and tibia and tore his MCL when tight end Jimmy Graham collided with him on the sidelines early in yesterday's loss at Tampa Bay.

Grading The Saints

The New Orleans Saints ran their current win streak to three game on Sunday, defeating the Jacksonville Jaguars, 23-10, in Jacksonville, Florida.

The Saints did only win by 13 points, but it felt as though they dominated at times, as they picked up 500+ yards of offense in the game.

The win moved to Saints to 3-1 on the year, with a road game against the Carolina Panthers scheduled on Sunday.

New Orleans tight end Jimmy Graham caught 10 passes, for 132, and a touchdown, in Sunday's 23-10 Saints win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

For the year, Graham already has 24 receptions, for 367 yards, and three touchdowns.

Texans Defenders Refuse To Give Saints Offense Credit

Despite giving up 40 points, 454 yards, and 3 straight touchdown scoring drives in the 4th quarter, the Houston Texans defense refused to acknowledge the dominant nature of the New Orleans Saints offense. Texans safety Glover Quin quipped, "We just didn't make plays that we needed to make. It wasn't like they're something special." Other members of the Texans secondary agreed. If the Saints offense is "nothing special," wouldn't that make the performance of Houston's secondary even more dire than what they showed on Sunday?
