Eric Gordon (pictured left) returned to the New Orleans Hornets Wednesday night and dropped 22 points on the Philadelphia 76ers, but it wasn't enough as the fleur-de-bees fell 101-93.

Gordon missed the previous 4 games with a bruised knee. He showed no ill effects of the injury, showing the Hornet home fans why management thinks so highly of him.

Philadelphia management thinks highly of their young starting point guard Jrue Holiday. The third year pro out of UCLA was sensational in the 4th quarter, scoring 14 of his 23 points. The lack of defense on Holiday is sure to drive Monty Williams crazy. After all, New Orleans led for nearly the entire first three quarters based in large part to their solid D.

The Hornets and 76ers were also part of a 3 team trade earlier in the day. You can read about it by clicking here.

New Orleans will host the Denver Nuggets on Friday night at the Hive. Tip-off is set for 7:00.
