Winning as a team normally also brings a number of individual honors along with it.

That certainly proved to be the case for the New Orleans Saints, who had six players named to the NFL Pro Bowl roster on Tuesday.

Quarterback Drew Brees, along with running backs Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara, receiver Michael Thomas, defensive end Cam Jordan, and cornerback Marshon Lattimore were all named to the roster.

None of the players were named starters, however.

The Pro Bowl game will take place at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla. on Jan. 28, 2018.

The Saints are currently 10-4, and tied for first place in the NFC South.

For Brees, it's his 12th time making the Pro Bowl roster, including his 11th time with the Saints, after throwing for 3,850 yards and 21 touchdowns this season.

Ingram and Kamara will be the first running back teammates to make the Pro Bowl in 42 years, with Ingram making his second appearance, and Kamara, a rookie, appearing for the first time.

Jim Otis and Terry Metcalf, of the St. Louis Cardinals, were the last running back tandem to be named to the Pro Bowl, back in 1975.

Ingram currently ranks sixth in the NFL with 1,045 rushing yards, and second with 11 rushing touchdowns, while Kamara leads the NFL in yards-per-carry, averaging 6.6 after gaining 652 yards on only 99 attempts, to go along with seven rushing scores, while also compiling 68 receptions for 684 yards and five touchdowns.

Lattimore is the first Saints cornerback to make the Pro Bowl since Eric Allen in 1995, helping he and Kamara to become the first rookies ever from the Saints to be named to the Pro Bowl.

Jordan, who will be making his third appearance, ranks tied for 10th in the NFL with 10 sacks, while batting down 11 passes

Thomas, who becomes the first New Orleans receiver since Joe Horn back in 2006 to be named to the roster, ranks third in the NFL with 94 catches, for 1,085 receiving yards, which ranks sixth, and five touchdowns.

How good is it that the Saints placed 6 players on the Pro Bowl roster this year?

Well, keep in mind; in their Super Bowl winning campaign of 2009, they only placed 5 players on the Pro Bowl team.
