New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton is happy his team won yesterday, but unhappy he can't challenge one specific play under the instant replay rule.

In the 4th quarter of yesterday's win, Saints safety Kenny Vaccaro was called for pass interference on a 4th down throw to the end zone by Carolina. The call was atrocious.

Payton noted after his team's 41-38 win how much he wanted to challenge the call, via instant replay, but couldn't because the current NFL rule doesn't allow for such a challenge.

"I think the competition committee needs to spend a lot more time thinking about [it]", said Payton today on a conference call with the media. "That specific call is so critical to get right."

Carolina ended up scoring on the drive, cutting the Saints lead from 14 to 7 early in the 4th quarter.

While the NFL has never allowed coaching challenges of a pass interference penalty, the Canadian Football League has been doing so for 3 years with great success.
