As the New Orleans Saints prepare to put their two-game win streak on the line on Sunday, when they play host to the New York Giants, we go back in time, and remember one of the more memorable games between the two franchises.

The game we go back and take a look at will be from a truly memorable season for the Saints, 1987.

The Giants lead the all-time series between the two franchises, 15-12, including a dominating 52-27 win over the Saints back in 2012, the last time the two franchises met.

New York won the first-ever meeting, 27-21, in the inaugural season, 1967:

The Giants went on to win 6 of the next 11 meetings between the two, before Sunday, November 22, 1987, when the Saints, under first-year head coach Jim Mora, took on the Giants, the defending Super Bowl Champions.

New Orleans, winners of three-straight, entered the game at 6-3, while New York, after an 0-5 start to the season, was 3-6.

Trailing, 14-13, heading into the fourth quarter, the Saints got a 22-yard touchdown pass from Bobby Hebert to Eric Martin, as well as a 28-yard field goal from Morten Andersen, to outscore the Giants, 10-0, in the final frame, and capture a 23-14 win.

That was the fourth of nine-consecutive wins to end the season for New Orleans, who finished the season at 12-3, earning the first-ever winning season in franchise history, as well as the organization's first playoff berth.

Now, let's look at video from the memorable game/season:
