New Orleans will be without starting linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (quad) when they open the season at home this Sunday against the Oakland Raiders.

The Saints didn't have Ellerbe at all in practice this week due to the injury, making his official OUT status for Sunday unsurprising.

Starting left tackle Terron Armstead (quad/knee), tight end Chris Manhertz (head) and rookie wide receiver Michael Thomas (ankle) are all listed as "questionable".

2016 marks the first year NFL teams cannot list players as "probable" on the injury report. Players can full under 3 categories, probable, doubtful and OUT.

Oakland's injury report contains only one player.

Backup right tackle Austin Howard (ankle) is officially OUT.

Kickoff at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Sunday is set for noon.
