The New Orleans Saints were still without several key players during Thursday's practice.

For the second straight day, linebacker Curtis Lofton (ankle) and cornerback Keenan Lewis (knee) sat out practice, though Lofton participated lightly in individual drills.

One could argue that Lofton and Lewis have been the best, most consistent members of the Saints defense this season.

Punter Thomas Morstead, who missed practice Wednesday with an illness, participated fully on Thursday, as did starting right tackle Zach Strief (chest).

Also missing practice for the second straight day for the Saints was RBs Khiry Robinson (forearm) Pierre Thomas (rib/shoulder), and Edwin Baker (concussion), and veteran wide receiver Robert Meachem (ankle).

LB David Hawthorne (hand) and RB Mark Ingram (shoulder) were limited.

New Orleans hosts Cincinnati this Sunday at noon.

Several Bengals missed practice today with injuries, including OTs Andre Smith (ankle) and Andrew Whitworth (non-injury related), RB Giovani Bernard (hip/clavicle), LB Vontaze Burfict (knee) and CB Terence Newman (knee).

LB Rey Maualuga (hamstring) and RB Cedric Peerman were limited.
