The New Orleans Saints ended the 2014 season on a high note as they rallied from a 13 point deficit to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23-20.

Drew Brees threw a 36 yard touchdown pass to Marcus Colston with less than two minutes remaining to give the Saints a 21-20 lead and Junior Galette tackled Josh McCown for a safety for the final margin.

The Saints winning drive came after a Keenan Lewis interception of McCown at midfield.  New Orleans had to convert a fourth and two from the Tampa Bay 42 to keep the drive alive.  Brees found Jimmy Graham for a four yard gain to keep the drive alive and three plays later Brees found Colston on the left side for the winning points.

It appeared the Saints were headed to their tenth loss of the season as the Bucs (2-14) built a 20-7 lead at the half.  MIke Evans caught a six yard pass from McCown,  Charles Sims scored on an eight yard run and Patrick Murray kicked a pair of field goals.

But the much maligned Saints defense held Tampa Bay under 20 yards in the second half to hold the Bucs at bay.  The Saints got their sixteen points in the fourth quarter as Mark Ingram scored on a one yard run to cap a 54 yard drive.

The Saints got the victory despite three interceptions from Brees, who completed 24-38 passes for 281 yards.

The Saints finish their disappointing season at 7-9.  With the loss, Tampa Bay will receive the first pick in the 2015 NFL draft.
