According to a report from Katherine Terrell of nola.com/TheTimesPicayune, the New Orleans Saints defensive tackle Brodrick Bunkley has agreed to a cut in pay.

The 30 year old veteran has been serviceable at best. He was an obvious choice for a paycut or a player cut. Bunkley's contract this season was originally set to pay him $4.5 million. After the cut, he'll make $1.65 million, including a $300,000 roster bonus he'll receive tomorrow.

Bunkley's base salary in 2015 and 2016 remain the same at $4.4 million. The chances of him playing under those terms are extremely slim.

The play of defensive tackle John Jenkins makes Bunkley's future beyond this season cloudy, though he's an experienced rotational player, and will certainly have a role this season.
