For the last three training camps, the New Orleans Saints and Houston Texans have held joint practices before they face off in a preseason game. And for the last three years, those practices have been chippy, bad-tempered, sordid, and any other adjective that can replace the word fierce.

Due to the NFL lockout, now in its fourth month, the two franchises had to cancel their joint practices. If the CBA is agreed upon in the next week or so, the Saints and Texans should play their preseason game in Houston on August 20th.

The joint practices between the two clubs has had its fair share of skirmishes and trash talking. Last year, there were two fights in one practice, and at least one tussle in the other two.
