Ryan Anderson Nails Seven Three-Pointers As Hornets Top Grizzlies, 91-83

The New Orleans Hornets used a fourth quarter rally, and the hot hand of Ryan Anderson, to pick up a 91-83 road victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday, in Memphis, Tennessee.
Anderson was 7 of 13 from the field, with all of his attempts coming from outside the three-point arc, as he scored a game-high 22 points, leading the Hornets to their eighth win in their last 12 tries.
The Grizzlies led at the half, 45-43, and took a 68-64 advantage going into the fourth quarter, before New Orleans out-scored Memphis, 27-15 in the last period, to capture the 8-point victory.
Three of Anderson’s seven three-pointers came in that all-important fourth quarter.
New Orleans also got help from Jason Smith, who was 5-of-7 from the floor coming off the bench, finishing with 16 points, while Al-Farouq Aminu collected 12 rebounds, and Greivis Vasquez contributing with 11 assists.
Zach Randolph led Memphis, who was playing without injured point guard Mike Conley with 20 points and 13 rebounds for his league-leading 28th double-double, Marc Gasol added 14 points and 11 rebounds.
The win ended a two-game slide by New Orleans, and also ended a modest two-game win streak by Memphis.
The Hornets out-shot the Grizzlies from the field, 43%-36%, including going 9-of-20 from beyond the arc, while holding Memphis to a meager 3-of-16 from three-point range.
With the win New Orleans improves to 15-29 on the year, while Memphis fell to 28-15.
The Hornets return to action on Tuesday, when they travel to Los Angeles to take on the Lakers.
