The story of Rudy Ruettiger just keeps getting better.

Ruettiger, a former walk-on at Notre Dame, who had the inspiring 1993 movie "Rudy" made about him, had his Irish helmet and jersey auctioned off on Saturday night for $241,500.

The auction was part of Super Bowl week in Houston, with some proceeds turned over to NFL charities.

The now 68-year old Ruettiger, who was 5-foot-6, and weighed 165 pounds, recorded a sack in his one and only game in the final game of the 1975 season against Georgia Tech.

The helmet and jersey that Ruettiger used were previously kept at his late father's home.

$241,500! That's a lot for somebody 5-feet-nothing, a hundred and nothing, with hardly a spec of any athletic ability.
