Roman Harper Signs Renegotiated Contract With New Orleans Saints

New Orleans Saints safety Roman Harper was set to carry a $7.1 million cap hit for the 2013 season. That number will drop after Harper agreed to renegotiate his current contract.

According to NFL.com, Harper and the Saints agreed to the renegotiation yesterday. This explains Harper's absence from Thursday's OTAs.

According to a report from Larry Holder of the Times-Picayune, Harper had one more year added to his deal, running his contract through 2015. Roman is now set to make $840,000 this season, $2.35 million next season, and $2.7 million in 2015.
