Robinson Picks Alabama Over LSU

This one wasn’t a surprise, but Alabama has raided Louisiana for one of the nation’s top prospects.

West Monroe offensive lineman Calvin Robinson made a public commitment today, saying he was headed to the University of Alabama.  He made the announcement live on ESPNU.

Robinson is 6-5, 330 lbs.  He’s considered the top offensive line prospect in the country and the #3 overall prospect.  He was considered to be leaning toward Alabama.

While the commitment has been made, it is non-binding, as players are not locked in until signing a national letter of intent in February, 2014.

As a result, you can expect LSU will continue to recruit Robinson.
