The opening weekend of the Sun Belt Conference is in the books and overall, it wasn't a bad weekend.  No team got swept in their opening series.  Only five of the 12 teams won their series, but the league went 22-17 overall.

The Mike Federico Era got off to a good start in dramatic fashion in Monroe and Troy flexed some early season muscle.  South Alabama and Coastal Carolina had good success against very good competition and Georgia State started out with a winning weekend.
