Report: PG Jarrett Jack Signs 10 Day Deal With Pelicans
Former New Orleans Hornets point guard and NBA journeyman Jarrett Jack has signed a 10 day contract with the Pelicans, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.
Jack, a 12 year veteran point guard, joins a Pelicans team in need of backcourt help after losing Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans and Langston Galloway in the blockbuster trade for DeMarcus “Boogie” Cousins.
Jack hasn’t played in an NBA game in over a year after tearing his ACL as a member of the Brooklyn Nets in January of 2016.
He worked out for New Orleans on Thursday, along with shooting guard Hollis Thompson, who inked a 10 day deal with the Pelicans yesterday.
Jack was a member of the New Orleans Hornets (now Pelicans) from 2010 to 2012, serving as starting point guard after All-Star Chris Paul was traded to the LA Clippers before the 2011-12 season.
For his career, Jack averages 11.1 points and 4.5 assists per contest.
