Even when the Ragin' Cajuns are rolling, Head Coach Garry Brodhead finds ways to keep them humble and hungry for improvement.

The Cajuns claimed four out of five games on the road in Sun Belt play. With a 12-3 record and already five total wins in conference, Brodhead actually seemed concerned when he was asked about heading back to the Cajundome for seven out of the next eight games. After playing (and winning) so many games on the road, he needs his team to readjust to their home court quickly.

Guard play won't be a worry. Jaylyn Gordon, Kia Wilridge and Keke Veal are terrorizing opponents on a regular basis, so the post play is where Brodhead hopes to find the key to the next level.

With Simone Fields hobbled last week, Breionne Cooper had a chance to show her coach a little muscle in the post. Young Cooper got the attention she wanted.

"She was kind of banged up since the summer. She's stronger," Brodhead said. "She's going to be a big time rebounder."

He did mention later that he would still like Cooper to get stronger, but with Fields back to full health, she will provide an interesting compliment to the established rotation.

The team continues to surprise Brodhead. Their work ethic, hustle, defensive pressure and maturity don't quite surprise him...just all the wins. In a very candid moment in his press conference, he said he honestly didn't even realize their 4-1 road record in the Sun Belt. He even said it with a slight chuckle.

Brodhead's energy and attitude are directly reflected by his team. Take a few minutes to listen to the coach running the hottest team playing on campus currently. He would love to tell you about his team that will be back in the Cajundome for the next few weeks...
