Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun softball team was scheduled to play at Northwestern State on Wednesday night, but the game has been canceled. The chances of the game being made up are extremely unlikely. No makeup date has been set.

UL head softball coach Mike Lotief announced the decision earlier today.

The Cajuns (28-6-1) will look to improve their RPI and stay atop the Sun Belt Conference standings this weekend. In a huge matchup, the Cajuns will host #16 South Alabama at Lamson Park.

UL is riding a 13 game winning streak and remain perfect in conference play (9-0). South Alabama is 30-6, and is currently ranked second in the conference standings with an 8-2 league mark.

The two squads will battle in a double-header Saturday beginning at 2:00. Pre-game begins at 1:45 as Steve Peloquin has the radio call. Sunday's contest is set for 1:00, with a 12:45 pregame. Catch all the action on ESPN1420 and espn1420.com.
