2012 Pro Bowl Teams Picked – Five Saints Included
The NFL announced it's 2011 Pro Bowl rosters on Tuesday, and five members of the New Orleans Saints were named to the NFC squad.
Quarterback Drew Brees, tight end Jimmy Graham, and offensive linemen Jermon Bushrod, Jahri Evans, and Carl Nicks were all tabbed Pro Bowlers.
Brees, who was named the NFC back-up, behind starter Aaron Rodgers, of the Green Bay Packers, broke Dan Marino's single-season record for passing yards, throwing for 5,087 yards this season, with still one game remaining.
Brees has completed 440-of-622 passes this season, 41 of them for touchdowns.
Graham has been one of Brees's favorite targets this year, catching 91 passes, for 1,213 yards, and ten touchdowns.
The San Francisco 49ers have the most representatives on the NFC squad, with eight, followed by the Packers, with seven.
In the AFC, the New England Patriots have eight players on the squad, followed by the Baltimore Ravens, with seven.
Former LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson, a rookie with the Arizona Cardinals, was named to the NFC team as a kick return specialist.
Here's the list of players from ESPN.com of the complete Pro Bowl rosters. The game will be played a week before the Super Bowl on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012 in Honolulu. (* Denotes starter.)
