Get to know Ragin' Cajuns Senior Linebacker with Scott Prather's weekly player profile segment, which airs during pregame for every UL Football game.

Football was a part of Granier's life ever since he could remember. All the men in his life ate, slept and breathed the game.

"My dad was a coach when I was younger, all my uncles played football so I've been around the game quite a while," Granier said.

Granier started his career at LSU, but he decided to join his cousins, James Butler and Elijah McGuire, on the Ragin' Cajuns roster. The move was a perfect fit. He said he liked the direction the program was headed in, and he loved the idea of what being a Ragin' Cajun meant. In terms of his behavior off the field, he's a Cajun, through and through.

"I spend all my extra time in the woods, or in the bayou, that's me," Granier said.

When he's not hunting, you can find him in a boat with a pole in his hand, enjoying the sportsman's paradise. There's a lot more to Granier than you see on the football field, so dig a little bit deeper and you might find even more to like about him.
