Philadelphia Phillies left-hander Cole Hamels has been suspended for five games for intentionally throwing at Washington Nationals rookie Bryce Harper in Sunday's game.  Hamels was also fined.

Hamels admitted he threw at Harper intentionally.  He hit Harper in the small of the back in his first at-bat.  Hamels said it was an "old school" welcome to the big leagues.

Harper got his revenge later by stealing home.

Hamels was hit in the left leg by Nationals' starter Jordan Zimmerman when he came to bat in the third inning.
