Center Alexis Ajinca is the latest member of the New Orleans Pelicans to suffer an injury that will keep him off the playing floor, the team announced today.

An MRI on Thursday reveled Ajinca has a fractured sternum. He suffered the injury in the 4th quarter of Wednesday night's loss to the Houston Rockets.

Ajinca has made 9 starts this season, appearing in 47 games. He missed time early in the season with a hamstring injury. He's averaged 4.4 points and 4 rebounds per game.
