Sadly, we’ve come to the end: the last week of college football’s regular season. And while many teams are already in the stable waiting to find out their bowl opponents, there is still a lot of action this week with a spot in the national-title game and at least seven conference championships still up in the air.

College Football 2012 – Week 13 Recap
Notre Dame punched its ticket into the national title game. And now the Fighting Irish must wait one more week to find out who their opponent will be. With Alabama and Georgia both recording big wins, it sets up a monster showdown in next week’s SEC title game, with the winner advancing to the BCS national championship.

Maryland Joins Big Ten and Other College Football Notes
Maryland announced Monday that it was accepting an invitation to join the Big Ten conference. Rutgers is expected to make a similar announcement on Tuesday. So, for those keeping track at home, the Big Ten will have 14 teams, the Big 12 has 10, and San Diego State will be in the Big East. Got it?
