Early routs and late thrillers filled the NFL schedule for Week 9. Here’s a recap of all of the NFL action from Sunday:
N.Y. Giants 24 – New England 20
Eli Manning capped a game-winning, 80-yard drive with a 1-yard touchdown pass to Jake Ballard with 15 seconds remaining, and the New York Giants defeated the New England Patriots, 24-20
Two head coaches fought, while another was injured during a game, as week six of the 2011 NFL season left just the defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers as the lone unbeaten team in the league.
The 2011 NFL season has been unpredictable thus far. After three weeks, a team that missed the playoffs in 2010 is at the top, or tied for the lead, in every division in both the AFC and NFC. Week Four brings new tests for the three undefeated teams in Detroit, Buffalo and Green Bay and new opportunities for those squads looking for their first wins
After players used week one of the 2011 NFL season to reward the football faithful with NFL records for passing yards, special-team return touchdowns and sacks, week two brings several early season games that could be future playoff, or, perhaps, conference championship previews. With temperatures turning fall-like in the east, fans will likely be treated to great football in near-perfect football weather.
